Griffith Plaster
Tiling in Winnipeg
Level surfaces, the right mortar for the tile, and waterproofing behind showers, so your tile stays flat and sound through daily use. Pretty tile fails when the substrate moves or water finds a path behind the field. We check flatness, set movement joints where the product data asks for them, and install wet-area membranes before the first piece goes up.

FAQ
Tiling FAQ
What kinds of tile work do you do?
Showers and baths, kitchen backsplashes, floors, and commercial floors and walls, in ceramic, porcelain, and stone.
Why does waterproofing matter in a shower?
Tile and grout are not waterproof on their own. We install wet-area membranes before the first piece goes up so water cannot find a path behind the tile.
Can you tile over my existing floor?
It depends on what is underneath. We check flatness and floor deflection first, then strip or build up the substrate so the new tile has a sound base.
Can tile be part of a bigger bathroom project?
Yes. Tile often shares a schedule with paint, plaster, and renovation work, whether it is a smaller bath refresh or a full rebuild around the wet room.
What do you need for a quote?
The room type, approximate square footage, tile size if you have chosen one, and whether it is a wet or dry area. Photos of the space and your tile help too.
