FAQ
Plaster repair FAQ
What plaster repairs do you handle in Winnipeg?
Cracked and loose plaster on walls and ceilings, failed keys behind the face, water-damaged sections, corner and reveal repairs, and full re-floats where the old coat will not hold a clean patch.
Can you repair plaster in older Winnipeg homes?
Yes. That is a large part of our interior work. We assess whether the lath and keys are sound, rebuild only what failed, and blend the new coat so the repair does not read as a flat patch under paint or wallpaper.
What is interior stucco, and when would I use it?
Interior stucco is a textured plaster finish for feature walls, entries, and rooms that need more depth than flat paint. It is durable, can be tinted, and pairs well with renovations where you want a warm, hand-finished look without going full Venetian polish.
Is my damage plaster or drywall?
Plaster is typically thicker, often over wood or metal lath, and sounds denser when tapped. Drywall is thinner gypsum board with taped seams. If you are unsure, send photos and we will tell you which system you have and whether to patch plaster or switch to drywall repair.
Do you also do Venetian plaster and drywall?
Yes. Decorative Venetian finishes and drywall patching and taping have their own service pages so you can compare scopes. We often combine plaster repair with one of those finishes in the same home.
